Day 3 of the current batch of trade winds. After yesterday's session I was keen to sail Kuau again. The wind was more offshore today which made the launch through the keyhole a bit more tricky but out back there was plenty for my 5.2. The swell was of the messy short period variety though. Still it had its moments - although I missed a lot of the best set waves I scored a few ok rides. I then made a right balls-up of the return to the beach. It took me 3 attempts to find the keyhole entrance and then the wind died just as I was sailing into it meaning I was almost swept back out to sea by the current as I was swimming towards the beach.

I'm not sure if sailing here is worth the effort of the awkward launch and landing unless the waves are really good. Gagging for a big wave Kanaha day now but will have to wait until Tuesday for the next groundswell to arrive.
